Blood glucose test strips should be stored in a dry environment at temperatures between +10°C and +40°C. Do not store them in the bathroom or kitchen, and especially not in the refrigerator, as these areas are highly susceptible to moisture. If the test strips have already been refrigerated, allow the sealed test strip container to slowly warm to room temperature before use. Do not remove the test strips until the container reaches room temperature to prevent condensation.
Patients living in humid areas (such as in southern regions) should note the following: Immediately after removing a test strip, tightly close the sealed cap to prevent moisture absorption; use a new container of test strips within three months of opening; and if possible, choose individually packaged blood glucose test strips.
